Stalin-Era Set from the mid-50s:
Engine E++ Yes |
|
\ /
A very nice, hand-painted (Turquoise with red trim), die-cast locomotive with manual reverse switch and operating headlights front and rear.
Photo of the other side.
This 4-4-4 (European designation: 2-B-2) power unit measures 14 3/4 inches (coupler to coupler) and weighs 6 pounds!
Close-up of the lettering & graphics on one side.
Unpainted seam showing on roof between the cab halves plus some chips on the white whitewall tires. That's about it for flaws as the rest of this engine is close to like new. Clean overall, it was serviced by us and it runs great! It is one of the nicest Stalin-era engines we have ever seen!
Passenger Car (#1) E- Yes |
|
\ /
Illuminated coach that is painted lime green and decorated in gold lettering.

Some paint chips around the doors. A few light scratches elsewhere. Clean overall and the car does light!

Some paint chips on the doors; one door is stained. Clean overall and the car does light!
Boxcar E+ Yes |

Some paint chips but the car is very clean overall!

Passenger
Station
Ex. Yes |
|
\ /
Very colorful and grand looking, all-metal Passenger Station with horn, interior lighting and outside gooseneck lamps. has a metal sign and black lettering on the sides of the building.

Some paint chips on the base and some paint loss on the sign plus the usual tarnishing of the silver on the lamp posts. However, the building and roof are very nice with minimal flaws. Overall this piece is extremely nice and the horn and lights work fine.
Flagman E+ Yes |
|
\ /
Version with green pedestal and gray base. some paint chips on the man's hat but very nice overall! Has the extra wiring that is often missing and he works perfectly!
Gateman E++ Yes |
|
\ /
Version with off-white shack. Has one scratch on the roof and a few paint chips on the base but it is very clean overall and the piece lights and works perfectly!
Arch-over Bridge E- Yes |
|
\ /
The all-metal, later-style bridge with two approaches. The bridge is all original and is painted medium blue. Some paint chips. The approaches are painted brown with blue pylons. Some scratches on the bases and lots of paint chips on the pylons.

|
\ /
An all-metal, electro-mechanical accessory that works by pressure using an activator rail connected to a piece of Soviet track in the base. The base is gray-green and the fencing is reddish-orange. The gate supports are blue.

Some paint chips on the fencing and a little paint loss on the gates; that's it for flaws. The gate crossing is usually in rough shape but not this one -- it is sharp!
Lamps & Signals E+ Yes |
|
\ /
Later-style lamp posts & block signals: the signals have a silver-painted metal base and post with a black plastic face. Red, amber and green lenses cover the bulbs. The lamp posts have similar bases.
All six pieces are nice and every single light works!

One of the nicest Soviet transformers I have ever seen!

Photo of the smaller harness.
