About This Steam Engine
The 2018 Steam Engine was introduced by Lionel in 1956 and was sold for four years
(through 1959). This item consisted of two separate pieces: a steamer with a "2-6-4" wheel
arrangement and any one of three different coal tenders: 1130T or 6026T non-whistling types, or
a 6026W whistling type. The engine was decorated with an ornamental bell plus sparse driving
hardware. The "2018" cab number was white (either rubber-stamped or heat-stamped).
